MUNSTER, IN– March 15, 2010 - Citizens Financial Bank is proud to announce the presentation of “Money Matters,” a Financial Education program provided by the FDIC. The program was presented to approximately 30 members of the Hammond Rotary Club. The program was presented at Purdue University, by Cristina Figueroa, Hammond Banking Center Manager.
The “Money Matters” program shows participants how to manage their money by preparing a personal spending plan and identifying ways to decrease spending and increase income. After completing the program, participants are able to track daily spending, prepare a personal spending plan or budget to estimate monthly income and expenses, and identify budgeting tools that will help them manage their money.
Citizens strongly believes that the best way to serve the needs of the communities where we have banking centers is to have our staff partner with community organizations and schools to help further the financial education process that is so important to personal growth. That exemplifies what we mean by Personal, personal banking.
