The Adventures of Little Magic and His Pal Penny
Once upon a time in the land of blue diamonds lived a friendly little bear named Little Magic.
Little Magic was no ordinary bear. He was a "SuperSaver" bear.
Every Saturday Little Magic would take his piggy bank to the Kids Club window at his local Citizens office and deposit the money he had earned from doing chores around the house. Little Magic worked hard to help his mom and dad with the housework so he could earn some extra money.
He also helped his neighbors with their work. Sometimes they were so grateful for Little Magic's help that they would give him a quarter.
One day on his way to the bank, Little Magic ran into Pal Penny. Penny had her piggy bank with her also.
"Are you on your way to Citizens?" Little Magic asked Pal Penny.
"No," said Pal Penny, "I'm on my way to the candy store to buy some yummy candy."
"You're not going to spend ALL your money on candy, are you?" Little Magic replied.
"Of course not, silly," Pal Penny giggled, "I'm also going to buy some baseball cards."
Little Magic couldn't believe his ears. "Don't you save any of your money?" he asked Pal Penny.
"Save my money?" Pal Penny replied. "Why would I want to do that? If I save my money, then I can't have all of the stuff I want."
"Sure you can," answered Little Magic. "In fact, you can have even more stuff. If you save your money, your pennies will turn into quarters, and your quarters will eventually turn into dollars. Plus, if you get an Early Investors Club account at Citizens Financial Bank, your account will earn interest after you deposit money into it. Interest is a reward for saving your money instead of spending it as soon as you get it. The interest you earn is added to the money that is already in your account. The bank actually pays you extra money if you save your money in a savings account. Citizens also keeps your money safe."
"Wow, I didn't know that!" Pal Penny said with a big smile on her face. "I'm going to Citizens right now to open my Early Investors Club account with the money in my piggy bank."
"That's great, Pal Penny!" Little Magic replied. "We can go together - I'm on my way there now to make a deposit into my account."
So Little Magic and Pal Penny skipped through the land of blue diamonds all the way to Citizens. Little Magic made his deposit and Pal Penny opened her account, and everyone lived happily ever after.
